Integrity
The symbol of my Integrity project is a car; I am using key elements in my life to show what keeps me motivated and helps me strive to move forward as and individual to express my feelings on the topic of integrity and how important it is to me.
The structure of my vehicle is a roll cage, I know if something happens I will always have that to back me up and support me when in need. My structure in life is my family, without my family I honestly could say I would not be the person I am today. My family has always supported me weather its to better in school or in athletics. My family has been there in my worst moments and helped me to stay positive. My family has driven good morals into me since I was a little kid my family is amazing!
The paint on my car is my style; I have somewhat of a unique persona on campus for being the guy who wears sandals. I have gotten a good nickname from friends instead of Malcomson I am called “sandalson”. Apart from wearing sandals I love rock climbing and many others have never tried it, so I encourage everyone to attempt it, you may not be good but its like a physical puzzle and you feel extremely accomplished after finishing a hard route. I plan to carry on climbing and wearing sandals for a very long time and hopefully can uphold the nickname I received from great oak students in college.
The cohesion and connection in my car is it bolts; the car could not stand without its bolts. The bolts in my life and what has kept me a whole is my religion. I personally am a Christian; I was born into the catholic religion but switch when I became older and attended rancho community Christian school. My morals are based around my faith and having integrity. My religion is what completes me, people can take away my property, jobs and other amenity’s of life but nobody can take away my integrity or religion.
The strength in my car is my seat belt I can always rely on my seatbelt to protect me and be there for me. My seat belt in life is running, I ran 4 years of cross-country and run regularly in my life. Whenever I am stressed or am frustrated with situation in life I tend to go for a run to escape my problems. I prefer to run with my best friends George, Nick, and Austen we have ran over 3000 miles together. When racing and training having morals and integrity to finish the workouts given to you are crucial to becoming better. I also like to go to the beach and mountain bike to compensate with the day-to-day stress generated by being busy or school.
The durability on my car is my air bags if you mess up and crash they are there to help take the impact; my life goal is to be a police officer. If I do not become a police officer my back up plan is to become a firefighter. Since I was little it has always been police or fire, I would watch there goes the fire truck everyday and play with my toy trucks. My uncle is a Battalion chief for the Contra Costa county fire department in northern California. My uncle has influenced me and interested me in the fire department and I always will keep it in mind if my original plans do not work out.
The direction in my car is the steering wheel, my steering wheel in life is my police program associated with the Escondido Police Department. I have been a Cadet for one and a half years; I live my life based around the program. It has made me the person I am today and it has kept me motivated to be a good compassionate person. My friends and family support me throughout my journey as a cadet as well as the officers and advisors I have as role models. I plan to apply with the police department when I am twenty-one and hope to have a future in law enforcement. Law enforcements biggest rule is to have honesty and integrity that I now live by, you are only as good as your word is.
